Time to split wealth management from investment banks?

Customers, regulators and politicians are putting increasing pressure on the big banks to re-examine their structures and business models. Both in the UK and Switzerland there has been talk of splitting investment banking from retail banking and wealth management. The major global players, however, are resisting such moves and increasingly embracing the 'integrated model', where capital markets and asset management products are heavily sold to private banking clients. Yuri Bender talks to Cath Tillotson of Scorpio Partnership about the changing relationship between private and investment banking.
